Kindness saves lives.
My family dog, a female german Shepard, always escorted me to school (around the same age as her). Waited for me at lunch (home wasn't that far. Never liked cantinas), and firmly waited at attention when school ended. I've saved 4 stray puppy with my girl at the time, plus 8 cats, under hardship (not all at once, lol. 2 steps at a time. One female dog & One male cat. Delta combat formation). But it teached me how to be an honorable, decent being. And gentle untill the end of time.
