Yeah the Budokai games are pretty standard, I don't think they have any advanced fighting game stuff, but they have punch, kick, energy attack/special, and block buttons, as well as simple directional input moves.
"I'm not using all 8 of my buttons" makes Aphex sound like an anime protagonist

Facing Aphex in a fighting game is just asking to be killed. Even I wouldn't do that in a touhou fighting game where I have the knowledge.
This game puts Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite to shame
