An unusual friendship has formed between a playful otter and a mischievous LION. Petite Annel Snyman has raised a lion and otter in her house – and now they are best friends. 34-year-old Annel runs Loebies Guesthouse and Predator Park in the Limpopo Province of South Africa – home to everything from lions and leopards to hyenas and meerkats. And in addition to her amazing interactions with the colossal animals, a fascinating friendship has developed on site between her pet lion Kumari and pet otter Moses.

Apparently… like dogs… Otters are everyone's best friend. Otters will play with anyone. They really are dying to have fun and just play. I've just learned how incredibly social and smart the otter is… And I used to think otters were just river rats. No. Not at all. They're incredibly bright and playful. Afterall, the more playful the smarter something is. Generally speaking, of course.
