I will always be amazed at how you can be filming a crash with literally 1 person near you and that person will still find a way to stand in the shot
The DS3 pileup was in a danish race at Jyllandsringen.
Denmark is notorious for sudden cloudbursts at this time of year, so when one hit the circuit, the long start/finish straight was completely flooded, while the rest of the circuit was basicly dry. The DS3 Cup over here doesn't have much in the way of communication with the drivers during a race other than flags. So when the entire field came down the main straight, they had pretty much no warning about how bad the rain was in the first turn, and because everyone ran tires that don't drain very well, it was a textbook case of severe aquaplaining…
Rather fitting too, as just to the right when you come to the end of the straight, is a white patch of a surface surface used by student drivers when they are taking their drivers license, as part of doing so is to show that you are able to stop in very slippery conditions, even without ABS…
