MY WIFE & I RAISED FOR NOW GROWN ARMY VET SONS (TWO SERVED IN BOSNIA, IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN). OUR YOUNGEST HAD A 110 POUND WOLF-SHEPHERD AS HIS PLAYMATE & NANNY FOR TWELVE YEARS. “HOLLY-GIRL” WAS SIX MONTHS OLD WHEN HE WAS BORN (NOW 34) AND LOVED AND PROTECTED HIM RIGHT UP TO HER LAST DAY OF LIFE. WE NEVER WERE CONCERNED FOR HIS SAFETY BECAUSE SHE WAS WITH HIM CONSTANTLY, ESPECIALLY DURING HIS FIRST FIVE YEARS! SHE DIED WITH ALL OF US AROUND HER ON A WARM JUNE DAY, LYING IN HER FAVORITE SPOT OF SHADED GRASS IN 1996. AND WE ALL MISS HER TO THIS VERY DAY!

A German Shepherd is a loving and caring dog
It is not right to tease a dog by pretending to hurt a child. This will confuse and worry a dog about the adults capacity for violence (in the animal's mind) . It changes the relationship between animal and owner.
