Today we visited Dada Boudi Bhat-er Hotel, located just a short walking distance from Sodepur Station, right beside the LIC office, near the end of the Over Bridge.
Here you can enjoy a hot and freshly prepared Bengali meal starting at just ₹40! The basic meal includes steaming hot rice, dal, vegetables and fried items. Apart from that, fish and chicken are also available for those looking for a more complete Bengali lunch.
What makes this place truly special is the dedication of Dada and Boudi. Despite Dada being unwell, they continue to run the small hotel with tremendous hard work and determination. Boudi manages almost everything—from shopping for ingredients and cooking to serving customers—while Dada also helps whenever possible.
