Would have actually gave a reason to the “writing a persons name in two death notes within 0.6 seconds of each other causes no effect to happen” rule to exist but still would have been reasonable cause l had no response from watari
If rem never killed L for misa then L would have worked alongside near bc instead of near talking to the new L (light yagami) he would have been talking to lawleit (original L) which means they both would’ve killed kira and L would’ve won the battle
What if L misspelled his own name in the death note consecutively 3 times therefore rendering the Death Note unable to kill him? However, I don’t know if this would apply to all DeathNotes once done

If I was L I would've proven that Light was Kira by comparing their personality and calculating a 100% perfect match and I would also compare the handwriting for when they are both calm and calculate another 100% and compare their addresses and find out they share the same address and present the information to a judge and say that this is statistically impossible and have Light arrested.

If Rem didn't came to such lengths to maintain Misa well and alive (which is in vain), L wouldn't die. The problem is tha she didn't just want to keep her alive, but happy so she did everything Light wanted her to. If that was written slightly different so L survived in another timeline it would still be valid, since it's pretty obvious that the shinigami going to such length for Misa and Misa being ready to die at any moment for Light is just a way to get into L dying so it's tragic and shocking. I mean, it's a cool and very sad death. However it was very difficult to get interested in watching the rest or the series without L there. It's not the same thing 🤷♀️

I’m happy to say that I saw the movie and loved it. Thinking about writing a fanfic reframe for it where my OC (Jasmine Ross who’s L’s love interest) tells her daughter (Kiko Ryuzaki) about the last case her father solved before he died.
Wouldn't Light just do the eye deal if L gets to test the 13 day rule? Like yeah Kira would still be caught and go on a rampage but L would die either way

L was fixated on winning the case yet he repeatedly mentioned that it's likely he will die, he saw his death as an acceptable thing if it means Kira is caught. If L considered his death as a loss he would never put himself Infront of Light, to L catching Kira was winning, not surviving.
