Influencer Accused Of Faking Animal Rescue Video After She Called Out Pet Store
Don’t take dog food out of the dumpster a lot of it is recalled, expired, or returned because it made a pet sick. I use to work in pet stores I have love and hate for it, where I worked we treated all sick animals we took them to the vet and gave them treatment and quarantined them away from the others, if any of them unfortunately didn’t survive we would freeze them and a cremation service would cremate them.
Lots of animal rescue videos do that. They put animals in these predicaments sometimes putting the animals in danger and claiming they are saving animals and it works on idiots who engage and this makes money for the criminals. All for the views.

How many times do we have to say it until people learn their lesson?? NOT EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON THE INTERNET IS THE TRUTH. FFS Stop taking everything at face value and reacting immediately before you have the FULL TRUTH.
If I found a live animal in a dumpster I would immediately look for more out of caution. If I grab one and walk away it means I knew there was only one. Right on top of the trash perfectly placed to be seen.

What does the breeder use to mark tortoises? I tried looking it up buy I couldn't find out what, also found out that people will use NAIL POLISH WHICH IS FAMOUS FOR NOT ABSORBING INTO THE SHELL AND EVEN STUNTING IT

First thing she said that I thought was sus: "We're taking legal action because tortoises are very protected here". If they are NATIVE, yes, that would be true. But, first off, SHE can't take any legal action. All she could do is report it to w/e Arizona department, I would guess natural resources? Second, if that were a protected, native animal, no pet store would be selling it. AS IT HAPPENS, that is a leopard tortoise. NOT native to Arizona. Only gonna get them from a pet store. The only "protections" accorded to it are going to be the same as they are for any pet. I also look at it being in a container that would be used for shipping; no pet store I have ever been in, or worked in, in all the half a century+ of my life, would KEEP it in a shipping container. But to me, the BIGGEST tell is simply, no pet store is just throwing away money. THAT is a baby. It might go you a couple hundred. But it's the stuff you have to buy FOR IT where they make bank. And it GROWS. Slowly, sure, but eventually, you need a bigger…everything lol. Those suckers get to be about a foot and a half diameter. They need A LOT of space. Unless you're a jerk and don't care about maintaining a natural, healthy for them. Nor would a pet store just throw away any animal, dead or alive, in the dumpster out back. A second of thought should tell you why; it would attract pests and predators.
But the kicker for me, as far as her being a freaking liar is, yeah, no, they did NOT build that enclosure for that tortoise, be for real. No one with a brain is putting that wee guy in there.

A lot of animal rescue videos are fake. There are people who actually place animals in dangerous situations so they can pretend they are "rescuing" them, for likes.
Holy shit i did NOT expect to be watching a video involving places im very familar with 😭 my current rats are from Tropical Kingdom, I've been going to this shop since I was in diapers, still go in when im nearby (and try not to get more rats) Desert Pets however…… I have not stepped foot in their business since I caught a zoonotic disease from a pair of rats I purchased from them, but with that said I do not believe either store would do this.
