Imagine what it was like as natives or settlers back in the day when you slept in a tent or on a bed roll and had nothing but moonlight on clear nights or a camp fire for visibility. I’m sure they were more scared of catching the flu or something real but I bet they didn’t like hearing tales like that back in those days either. What I find kind of funny about humans and our stories is we always leave an out of some sort. Like with aliens they’ll have some giant heads and bug eyes or with skin walkers, from my understanding, something will seem off about them usually easily recognizable. This is just my own experience talking but the thing that’s scary to me is when you think you know someone, and they do the most awful and inhumane shit imaginable.
