Parrots are no different, they are such tender hearted beings and if given the opportunity they will shower you with love, affection and loyalty. 15. As an Aussie I’m always really pi**ed off when I see anyone keeping a cockatoo in a cage. If you’ve ever seen them living their joyful lives in the wild you’d be ashamed of torturing them like this. It doesn’t matter how much you think you love them, they should never be held captive

18. The original owner was obviously very ill-equipped to take care of Peaches, or any animal…

    …however, the fact that they were very enthusiastic about finding Peaches a better home shows at least a good heart.

    Good on them for doing the right thing. I noticed Peaches wasn't plucking. Either she wasn't TOO stressed and the original owner was giving her some attention, or she has a very temperate personality.

    Either way, Peaches is in great hands now and has her own best friend to play with all day.
