Someone chained her to a tree in the middle of an abandoned field. No food. No water. No shade. Just a rusty chain and an empty bowl. And then they just drove away. Like she was nothing.
She waited there for three days. Through the heat. Through the hunger. Through the silence. Still watching that empty dirt path. Still believing someone was coming back.
When I found her she could barely lift her head. But the second I knelt down beside her — she tried to wag her tail. Even after everything they had done to her.
I grabbed my bolt cutter. Cut that chain. And held her right there in that field.
She’s free now. She’s loved. And she will never be chained again.
