What Really Happens If You Fall Into a Volcano?

Spread The Viralist

What would actually happen if someone fell into a volcano?
Movies often show people sinking instantly into giant pools of lava, but the real science is very different. Lava inside volcanoes is extremely dense and can reach temperatures between 700°C and 1,200°C.
At those temperatures, the heat alone can cause severe burns long before anyone could reach the lava surface. Lava flows are also thick and viscous, which means a human body would not simply sink like in water.
Volcanoes are among the most powerful natural forces on Earth, and their heat, toxic gases, and molten rock make them incredibly dangerous environments.
