Spread The Viralist

Today we’re going on an ultimate Texas BBQ tour in Houston! We’ll try three different places for the best craft bbq, the best historical bbq, and a place that’s serving amazing fusion bbq. Houston has some of the most underrated BBQ in Texas!

Pinkerton’s Barbecue (https://maps.app.goo.gl/pjhErKynMfZZahtF8) – First up is Pinkerton’s Barbecue where we met up with owner Grant Pinkerton. Pinkerton’s has a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide, and they serve up some up the highest rated BBQ in Houston. The beef ribs, brisket, pork ribs, sausages and sides were all phenomenal.

Pizzitola’s Heritage BBQ (https://maps.app.goo.gl/E4Zps9h2R2HZdj8b6) – Next up we met up with Tim Taylor from Pizzitola’s Heritage BBQ to see the old bbq pits that are one of a kind in Houston. The ribs were extraordinary, for any BBQ lover it’s something you have to try, and I also really loved their sauce.

Brisket & Rice (https://maps.app.goo.gl/7sMFnvzqo1DFtxxQA) – Next we met up with brothers Hong Tran and Phong Tran to try Brisket & Rice where they make Texas BBQ but with a twist of their Vietnamese roots. Their brisket fried rice is amazing, and you also can’t miss their ribs, and brisket!

  1. Houston is not an underrated BBQ or food city…. Every big time chef says it's one of (if not the best) cities for food in the nation. Houston has had many top Texas Monthly BBQ places, and many times in the top 10. We have many James Beard award winners, always a lot of finalists, Top Chef winners opening their own places, etc.

Pinkertons to this day has the best brisket I have ever had in Texas. Houston being the most diverse city and county (Harris) in the nation, it brings the best culinary cultures competing against each other. Now I want Pinkertons brisket and beans.
You ain't getting better Viet food anywhere in the US.

  2. No meat in America is any good especially when growth hormones and steroids are used. There is no animal welfare where the meat is concerned when they pump pigs full of growth hormones to make them fat to the point the poor pigs nearly explode from being that fat. Cows are not grass fed they are corn fed which is cruel too because cows naturally ingare grass eaters not corn eaters. So americans saying they have the best beef and pork are living in their own little dream world as all americans do. Their saying is ignorance is bliss. There shouldnt be any egg in potato salad. Its just potatoes, mayonaise and chives and thats all. No bloody egg.
