A teenager who saved two toddlers from a “massive fire” in High Ridge in July will be recognized as a hero Monday afternoon, the city’s fire department said.

15-year-old Savannah Strother was babysitting the two children on July 9 when the home she was in caught fire.

  1. What a great team. That babysitter was so brave. And that dog was such a good boy/ girl. Dogs are so good to us. I hope they were all ok and made it out completely without being hurt.

  2. I dont really know what other people think the babysitters options were. The dog was invaluable but the babysitter literally did the only thing she could do. She wasn’t about to stay in the house like what???

  3. Awesome but doesn’t the fire look like it’s outside? Just shutting on the “house fire”. I don’t normally say much cause I feel like grammar police but am I wrong? Is this an apartment? I had one that had a window like this more like a condo but still am apartment
