  1. I know your journey to bond with and provide for him has not been an easy one. I don't need to meet you to know that you are an amazing person. I believe that when a person has a heart like yours and gives unselfishly you will one day reap reward(though I am certain this was not your motivator.) I pray blessing into your life. Thank you for sharing this. It truly made a difference in my day. 🌅🐶🐕🎶

  2. Older pups are the best💯My pitts had passed so it was a simple life with with my little mixed jack Russell & chihuahua. Then, my son in law found a beautiful pitt was up for euthanasia. He just knew he had to come home to me. I opened up a little rescue for pitts for 20 years so I had much experience. He was tied up & starved. He's come so far & is a wonderful dog. He just needed stability. It broke my heart to see him hog his food💔Now, he knows it's going nowhere. Well, my son in law passed😰I always sitted his female pitt. She came to me. She saw him have a seizure & pass. I was shocked she didn't look for him to pick her up. She never did because she knew. I learned it's important to let the dogs say goodbye too.

  3. My girl turned 15 in January and she definitely has dementia and the same issues.
BUT, like you said, she knows that I AM HER HUMAN!! ❤
That made me cry, but feel better 😊

  4. I have a 14ish year old dog I adopted around 11, he’s 4 lb now but when I got him he was barely 3.5 lb and sick. Emaciated, a BM half stuck in him, covered in pee because the ratty old coat he had was enormous so he peed on it and himself, they said he couldn’t walk well but his nails were curled into his toes. He walks fine. He runs. And jumps. Total lunatic lol.

He went from scared and neglected to I AM THE LORD OF THIS HOME AND HUMAN AND MY WORD IS LAW. And decided to get really picky and snooty about everything.

I notice if his water bowl isn’t filled to the rim, he’ll cry, and use his nose to find the surface. But he can still see me doing stuff. I can tell by his response. Like say holding up his harness and he’ll stand up like, “Where are we going?” There’s some clouding of his eyes that’s getting more visible.

Idk how long he’ll live. He’s in great health and doesn’t have any issues. Other than some throat issues from being walked (dragged) on a collar (that’s how he came and I understand his owner was a drug addict/dealer). He had a seizure one time. That scared the crap out of me. Hasn’t happened since.

I agree with the selfish aspect she shared. It’s wrong to keep them. I had my dog from 5 weeks to 16.5 years old and in his 17th year (he made it halfway through) he just couldn’t get up anymore. After slowing down and experiencing hip stiffness in his final years and then they gave out.

He was like 120 years old in human years (125 lb dog living to 16.5 is practically unheard of). He stayed as long as he could and I wasn’t going to force him into a chair when he was already tired. He was ready to go. Couldn’t get up anymore. I accepted it. To force him to keep going would’ve been selfish. He tapped out and I helped him.

  5. Ive noticed most dogs will go under the bed because they were born under the bed.. and its comforting and dark and cool. I have a 16 yr old that is slowly declining. Its so heartbreaking seeing them just slowly go.. i wish i could do so much more for him but its just what it is.. ❤❤❤

  6. God bless you, I just love your dog! He didn't have such a great life untill you arrived! Thank-you for makin his life better, and for giving him love and comfort! Dear jesus watch over this little guy! We all love him!❤

  7. Bless him!
❤❤For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life John 3:16 repent and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation❤❤

  8. I'd adopt him in minute I love 4legged anything..tanner you're beautiful buddy ty for rescuing him!! 10. My senior dachshund mix dog has the same sounding whine and some mental decline but not leaving us yet either. A little doggy tcb oil on days doggy seems to be in a daze. What a cute little guy

  11. My 14 year old Yorkie has dementia. She is constantly pacing, getting stuck in tight, strange spots, and is often lost and always hungry. She also has cataracts, and hearing loss, but still seems to enjoy life for the most part.
