  1. Middle Ga here, we had no power for 15 days during Helene at my home. Wasn’t the end of the world, I was out on my mini excavator clearing roads by 7:00 am, first help I saw was about 10:00am when about 6 local guys with chainsaws came up. And that was on a State highway, of course later the local emergency management people gave all the credit to Leo and power company’s. Be prepared people.

  2. Locally….the farm boys were ON IT. Everyone with a chain saw showed up to clear the road for the power trucks. I hope the best for them. It was only temporary. (Helene it was a week)

  3. Just got power back on Jan 28 at 7:00pm still no water thank you to all the line men working so hard in this brutal weather here live off Duncan Bridge Rd.

  4. The poles on the right side of the road, which are partially buried, have been sliced down. Look at how clean those "break" lines are. Why would they needed to be cut down like that, I wonder.

  5. Oh now this just normal weather it happens all the time ain't got nothing to do with global warming, you may not believe in global warming but your insurance company does oh yeah they pay for it and then we pay them more. Some locations don't offer ins. now.

  6. Making a big deal out of nothing, climate scares to worry the people over nothing, imagine how many times this has happened over the last 500,000 years? Build infrastructure to handle weather events and manage vegetation……problem solved

  7. fake news again , Worse Natural disaster would be a fire wiping out a city or 1000's of citizens dying from a disaster but power outage isn't the worse natural disaster folks .

  8. The reason the power outages are exacerbated is completely due to the lack of tree trimming by the electric company in their right-of-way. When I go out to work on someone's electric line, they have a choice: cutting the tree back well and having reliable electric or keeping the tree as it is and not having reliable electric and possibly damaging property down the road.
