its funny how fantastical it can sound when describing a creatures own version of hearing. these ants detect minute vibrations through their legs, some fish detect minor distortions in water pressure to locate a predator/prey. and what do humans get? stupid ears that just detect minute distortions in air pressure around us, allowing us to identify and locate all manner of threats, opportunities, prey, environmental shifts, etc.

Honestly, I'm more fascinated by the giraffe feeding on a thorny tree with no problem.
Sadly an invasive species of ants is killing and displacing these acacia ants. Plus the new ants do not protect the tree nearly as well or ar all.

8' front legs 4' chest 6 'neck 2' head 2' tongue = 22' to reach with and we did not even factor in the hind legs and torso 😂
