Could a BJJ Black Belt beat a boxer or wrestler in a real street fight?
Wrestling is literally on the ground as well 🤦🏾😂
Wrestling aint good for fighting 2 people either 🤷🏾
Ok big boy, tell that to Royce Gracie!
Copying Bruce Lee quotes. Then talk shit abiut the guy. What a 🤡
aww. it's like ufc 1 never happend. people still saying this bs after 40 years
We need a ufc 1 version of street fighting. Pay thugs to come fight different martial artists. Do we have their friends there is kick and punch as well is the question? I think so, bc multiple opponents is always brought up. So we can have 1 on 1 and 4 on 1 division. Which will win now?
Wrestling and MuayThai are the best for self-defense IMO.
That’s not true at all
There are plenty of videos out there proving this guy, who has never even competed, wrong
A street fight is not self defense. It can be self defense, but it often isn't. Self defense means you're actively being attacked or are otherwise unable to remove yourself from the situation. In those situations I would go with wrestling or BJJ (given the close range). If you're squaring up with someone trading blows, in most (not all) cases it's not self defense anymore.
I've seen plenty of people get choked out in a street fight. Bro is yapping. A locked in choke is a locked in choke. In or out of the octagon
BJJ amazing for 1:1 combat Boxing (kickboxing Muy Thai) amazing for more than 1 opponent. Do both. Boxing isn't gonna teach you how to hold someone down until the cops arrive. BJJ isn't gonna teach you how to deal with multiple threats well. It's all situational. There is no better/worse only tradeoffs.
Kinda weird, considering that when fighting the hardest people in the world, some of the best things you could do is use jujitsu.. lol
One on one…Wrestling or judo wins
It's good for one on one when someone takes you down or you take them down. 2v1 you're fucked
Jiu Jitsu is Most certainly one of the best for the street. Man…I find myself disagreeing with this cat often these days and I love him! Look man…I Grew up in chicago….tons of street fights. Just fighting all the time. All gang style fights. There was no meet me behind the school one on ones. I’ve even been in some insane braveheart style riot wars with literally thousands of people fighting in grant park for the taste of chicago or 4th of July. Just crazy. My friends and I were all grapplers. Wrestlers and jiu jitsu. What you think we pull guard in the street or took people down for a cross collar choke? Please. You got duck under suplexed on concrete…next….duck under suplexed on concrete…next. Never had a problem. We smoked everyone. No stand up training at all. Occasionally a quick ground and pound…but we weren’t being nice like in the gym or applying it like a sport. NOW…If you’re outnumbered and by yourself you always RUN! You’ll get your…whatever you’ve trained…ass whooped on the side of the road maybe dead. I’ve run every time I’ve been in that situation. Occasionally you can take one or two out…on YOUR way out😂 but you always run.
When my loved ones lives along with my life is in eminent danger and the odds are against me I call on my uncles Smith & Wesson to immediately switch the odds back in my favor 🫡
M i X e D Fighting ARTS 💯REAL 🤙🏽💯
“You dont have time to choke!” “It dont work” Translation: MJW has gotten treated like a woman when he tried BJJ. Hes like a petulant child.
Why is Vlad even asking this D-list actor? MJW NEVER had a single REAL FIGHT ever. He did mcdojoish strip mall karate point fighting!!! Bjj doesnt work in self defense? 😂😂
Go find out what seal team 6 and Delta force (tier 1 guys) train all of the time. Ask Jocko Willinck his opinion on this. Sounds dumb as a mfer.
Kick Boxing and wrestling
Box and Wrestle power lift
He missed the best fighting style for a street fight. Muay Thai. If a wrestler tried to shoot for a takedown, he would eat a knee to the face. With a boxer fast, hard leg kicks would stop them. The worst mistake for a boxer or wrestler would be to get inside a clinch with someone who knows Muay Thai because here they are dangerous and able to strick with hard elbows or knees. Ultimately, it all depends on the fight experience of an individual.
Some c**t tell him to watch UFC 1-4 ffs! 🤦🏻♂️
GJJ still dominates if the other guy isn't aware. Royce beat some big boys and def isn't irrelevant. Not to mention Rickson did the same thing in Japan, including Funaki who was a trained grappler. Also, in self defense originally you used a bodyfold, got to mount, guy turns and choke. This has been shown over and over.
He's comparing street fights to professional fighting 😂 using BJJ on a person who has not trained is like man handling children. 1v1 BJJ yes 2v1 that's out the window and you better slap someone's head off first
Wrestling and BJJ is an actual overkill
People don’t need don’t know how to block when they go right for your legs below your knees with their head tucked low. 👍
For striking: Boxing has the best hands and footwork. Muay Tai incorporates kicks, knees, and elbows which save your hands since there’s no gloves on the street. Taekwondo is useless without a lot of space and even then it’s not very effective. Karate is a joke.
For grappling: Wrestling has great take downs but many guys will shatter their own knee if they are on concrete or a hard surface. Good position control but no submissions or attacks of any kind. It’s also Worthless on your back. Judo has some good throws but probably not good to do in a street fight. Once on the ground judo is very inferior to BJJ. BJJ uses pretty much the same takedowns as wrestling although BJJ practitioners don’t drill them enough so most aren’t proficient in them. Same issue with dropping the knee to shoot. Not a good idea on concrete. But there are plenty of other takedowns that will work fine. BJJ works just as well from your back as from the top unlike wrestling. BJJ has endless submissions and escapes. If you are on the ground with someone proficient in BJJ then you are in serious trouble. Especially if all you know is striking.
Boxers will get taken down immediately and have no idea how to stop it and then get destroyed by BJJ. Wrestlers will go to the ground willingly and then get destroyed by BJJ. This guy has no clue.
Just do a YouTube search of street fights. It always goes to the ground. It’s easy to get someone to the ground who doesn’t train to stop it.
This guy says wrestling over BJJ???? He has to be kidding. Wrestlers come in all the time and get destroyed by BJJ.
I highly agree with you! Nailed it! Exact opinion!
Start head to head with a hand on the ground and suddenly striking isnt initially advantageous either. Jitsu wont work most places because its too tight to work that way. But if you take it to the ground and take control then hands can always finish.
