0:00 – 0:24: Tucson, Arizona
Authorities released body camera footage of a police shooting incident at a Circle K on August 25. Officers were surveilling Francisco Javier Galarza, 49, wanted for home invasions and robberies. When confronted, Galarza fled, brandishing a handgun. A K9 officer stopped him, but he allegedly pointed the gun at officers, who then shot him. Galarza was pronounced dead at the scene, with no injuries reported among officers or bystanders. The involved officers were Ernest Ortiz and Barrie Pedersen.

0:24 – 0:42: Mesa, Arizona
Mesa Police released footage of Ny’Kendreon Pride, 20, a robbery suspect, walking in a neighborhood. After refusing to surrender, a detective deployed a flashbang, followed by bean bag rounds when Pride continued to resist. A detective then fired his service rifle after seeing Pride reach for what appeared to be a gun. Pride was found with a Glock and pronounced dead at the hospital. His weapon had no rounds chambered but contained an extended magazine with 28 rounds.

0:42 – 1:13: Jacksonville, Florida
Body camera footage shows officers shooting Matvey Anthony Klimenko, 38, who threatened a K-9 with a knife on April 12. Officers were attempting to arrest him for holding his girlfriend hostage. After firing less-lethal rounds, they released the K-9, which prompted Klimenko to raise the knife. Officers shot him multiple times, resulting in his death.

1:13 – 2:07: Austin, Texas
On September 23, the Austin Police Department detailed a fatal shooting involving Antonio Gonzales. After a 911 call about a disturbance escalated to a gunshot report, crisis negotiators attempted to de-escalate the situation for two hours. When Gonzales reached for his gun, SWAT Officer Benton Coker shot him. Gonzales was pronounced dead shortly after officers confirmed he was no longer a threat.

2:07 – 3:07: Houston, Texas
Houston Police released footage of a chase that ended with officers shooting Elliot Lewis on November 11. After deputies attempted to stop him, Lewis fled, reaching speeds near 100 km/h. Officers blocked him in, but he exited his vehicle with a rifle. The body camera footage captured the chaotic scene as officers fired multiple shots, injuring an innocent bystander.

3:07 – 3:37: Colorado Springs, Colorado
On August 17, police shot Benjamin Annaboli, 37, after he allegedly pointed guns at officers during an attempted arrest. U.S. Marshals had identified him as a violent offender. After refusing commands to drop his weapons, Annaboli was shot by officers and later died at the hospital.

3:37 – 4:07: Orange County, Florida
On May 16, during a SWAT raid on a suspected drug house, deputies shot Tyrone Bartley, 32, who reached for a rifle. Bodycam footage shows deputies ordering him to raise his hands before firing. Bartley was taken to the hospital but later died. The raid resulted in the recovery of multiple firearms and a significant amount of fentanyl-laced cocaine.
