  1. I think people are confusing 'realistic' with 'interesting' because a wolf doesn't realistically bite a bear one time in the neck and it dies

  2. I cant believe im about to give props to Ubisoft for anything but man those animations surprised me. they look very robust and honestly I wish it was in RDR2 as well

  3. I think a big reason why theres almost zero to no real animations in RDR2 is because realistic these animals wouldn't fight, they'd avoid each other when crossing paths irl which is what RDR2 is going for. But also because almost most/all of these animals do not spawn near one another or at the same time in game. Grizzles are spawning through day time, cougars are dusk and dawn and wolves are night time. Though bison and Moose do spawn in day time like the bears, they're rarely ever in the same area. There is only 1 location in the map where bear and moose spawn at the same time and there not close to each other in that map area ((Little Creek River)).

  4. Red Dead has animal behaviors and models down, but Far Cry definitely takes the win for attack and fight animations. Predators are rare in Red Dead, but I never see a bear attacking a deer and eating it.

  5. Animals don't have the habit of fighting, they're more like: "Okay, if biting doesn't work, I'll run, if it works, I'll make him stay on the ground and eat him", this is a ridiculous explanation, but it's the best way I can explain it

  6. I feel like they should’ve made the moose and bison Be able to fight back. Because if I have to give one a single gripe when it comes to red dead redemption 2, they they kind of treat the moose like an oversized whitetail in the bison is like a bunch of these scaredy-cats who run away from people when they’re walking towards them. Like at least on occasion Whitetail deer and the elk can ram you the bison. Don’t really do anything like that and the moose doesn’t do any of that also.

  7. RDR2 animals are made to interact with the player, not each other. I think GTA VI will change this, we can see a cougar hunting in the trailer

  8. Как насчет сражений более мелких животных? Ондатры, барсуков, крыс (Мика) и т.д.?

  9. I think the reason why red dead doesn’t have proper animal fighting animations is because animals in real life don’t fight each other if they meet. They’d just growl and walk away and red dead is trying to be more animalistic.
