It’s not everyday that you have the world’s most prolific food YouTuber set up a restaurant. So when I was in Bangkok last, I made it a point to visit my friend, Mark Wiens eatery, Phed Mark. This eatery celebrates the ubiquitous Thai staple, the Pad Kaprao, a spicy assemblage of rice, protein, sauces, plenty of chillies and basil. And each plate is topped with a creamy duck egg. Out here, the Kaprao is made to accommodate different spice levels, from the warming one chilli to the tongue numbing, level four or five. Mark recommended I try the various chilli levels, and so I ordered four of the Kapraos to test my palate’s spice capability!

Definitely, a spot to hit when in Bangkok next. Hope you enjoy this watch. Happy eating!

  1. Great to see how you embrace other cultures with an open mind Kripal. Hope to see more like this in the future. Food has no boundaries!

  2. Good to see you finally have some beef on your channel. The puritans will clutch their pearls and be shocked, but screw them. Now feature some beef from places like Kerala and Tamil Nadu and some pork from the North East too.

  3. Hi sir…. i am jain watching your videos past 5 years… did not expect you to ever eat beef in your videos… this is really shocking sir… will not be watching yuore videos from now… please advice you to become vegetarian also

  4. Sawadeeka Kripal 🙏 Fab vlog 👌 I am still speechless on how you got past the level 4 of the 🍗 Pad Kra Pao 💯💯💯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Simply awesome of you to have visited your buddy Mark’s Phed Mark Restaurant at BK 👍 Trust there was no need for any Zepto post the fiery fare . One great point that you highlighted was the importance of the perfectly cooked duck egg ( in our local parlance half fry 😁 ) . The oozy yolk when mixed together with the rice , veggies / protein & pepper kinds of tones down the level of heat & rounds up the flavour profile . Excellent that you tried 4 variants at different spice levels . Great option to use the banana 🍌 ( spice level) for the Wagyu . Thoroughly enjoyed this vlog as you both are the BEST Food vloggers . Is this your first vlog from Thailand 🇹🇭 Dad is recovering slowly but surely & we have one more visit to the cardiac clinic by EOM . Anyways wishing you a super awesome stay in Thailand. Would you also be meeting Joel ? Have a happy weekend. Stay healthy & blessed 😇 Loads of love & Respect 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

  5. A Request/Suggestion- An important part of South Indian cuisine is famous Temple Prasadam. Please make video series on famous Temple Prasadams of South India providing details about timings, coupon price (if applicable) etc. This will help tourists/pilgrims from North India. Thanks.
