More than 240 people are known to have been killed when an Air India passenger plane crashed seconds after take off from Ahmedabad in Gujarat, western India.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner came down in a densely-populated area of the city shortly after clearing the runway, causing devastation and many deaths on the ground.
All but one of the 242 people on board the flight are confirmed to have died, including 169 Indian nationals and 52 Britons. The sole survivor, Vishwashkumar Ramesh who is British, was sitting in seat 11a on the London-bound flight. He managed to escape from the aircraft and is being treated in hospital.
The plane crashed into a building housing medical students and people are confirmed to have been killed on the ground. Rescue workers are continuing to search the scene of the disaster.

Pilots themselves admit MIL of three long pages they are forced to accept, which means the flights got many issues unaddressed.

I do wonder if when the plane was leaving the runway, this surviver opened the door and caused this catastrophe. The fact that he had time to open the door and jump from the plane in a few seconds just before it crashed made me pause… not saying this is so but.. They are to keep a close watch on his mental status.
Lesson learned: When you witness anyone praying during a flight, no matter your personal beliefs, say "Amen." That simple act could very well save your life.
