2. That news segment one at 5:42 could have been ball lightning. That happened to my father once. He was working out in our garage and he saw a glowing orb like that rise up from a crack in the concrete floor and just levitate there for a while before dissipating with a loud bang! (I had to give him credit for staying to watch – I would have run out of the garage and watched at a distance).

15. I was watching tv when the blue light in Queens lit up the sky. I live in Long Island City not far from the spot where this happened and I can honestly say it was alarming mostly due to the unnatural blue color and I really did think it was war of the worlds for a split second.
