  6. Wow – when I was young (many moons ago) a dog foaming at the mouth was considered a dangerous, rabid dog. Shades of To Kill A Mockingbird (one of the the best novels ever written, in case any neophytes haven't heard of it). In the book the dog is handled the way it was typically done back then, in that somewhat rural area: it was shot. Humans have evolved since then.
