This Jiu-Jitsu technique is the application of the bodylock takedown called Kosoto Gake. It is a great self-defense jiu-jitsu technique, but can also be used in BJJ or Judo competition.

  1. And if the thrown attacker maintains a grip or grabs onto your shirt back, collar, neck, hair, ear, arm etc. as he falls, ripping you down, then you are not likely to "stay standing" and even if you do you are going to be pulled over and down by a guy's weight and strength… so when another person jumps in on your back you are screwed.
    Grappling like this is not good self-defence and BJJ is a bad joke. Learn to box and avoid grappling.

  2. Your head should be in the middle of your opponents chest not on the side. Push against his/her chest with your head as you pull the hips towards you.
