  1. Post-conviction third party confessions are viewed very suspiciously because the confessor has nothing to lose. Add in his own 99 year sentence, it's his brother and what his brother might be able to do for him on the outside and it's really clear what happened. The shocking twist is at 13:26 when the omnipotent hand of God tells us all he didn't commit the crime. You can count the number of people who believe he got away with murder. Kevin was not exonerated, he was released from prison by an Illinois Appeals Court.

  2. @37:19 “One reason was that Elizabeth didn’t like foreigners.” This reason makes absolutely no sense b/c Elizabeth’s daughter-in-law, Olga, was from CANADA!!!

  3. Some of my family folklore that's been passed down is that my grt grt paternal grandmother accidentally killed someone while commiting a felony (arson) when she was about 14 years old. She'd worn her brother's boots & left tracks in the woods to the crime scene & back home. Her brother took the wrap, was convicted & sentenced to death. On the way to state prison he grabbed a deputy's gun & shot himself. In those days he knew he'd be setting in "old sparky" real soon. That branch of the family still has a fearsome reputation.
