Floods in Nepal 2021, monsoon causes flash floods to most of the places of Nepal. 15 June 2021 has triggered floods and landslides in many parts of the country including Manang, one of the popular trekking destinations in the Annapurna region, and the Melamchi bazaar en route of Helambu trek in the Langtang region.
Chitwan National Park, a popular wildlife destination of Nepal, and many more other places are also affected by monsoon rain in Nepal.
Due to heavy rainfall janakpur airport and surrounding were flooded and all flights were delayed and canceled for a day. Janakpur is a religious place close to the Indian border side of Nepal
Since June 15 floods and landslides made 1000s of people homeless, 34 people died, 44 people missing, and 24 people are badly injured.
As well as 3 foreign workers An Indian and two Chinese were swept away by the flood in the Sindhupalchok district of Nepal.
It was just the start, the 2nd wave of monsoon arrived now. Rainfall will be more intense in the coming days.
We can’t control natural disasters but we can be careful and move to a safer place. As more floods and landslides are on the way, my request to all the Nepalese who are living in risky places due to natural disasters please move as soon as possible to a safe place. Stay safe stay strong.
