  2. I had a sumo cat that came and stayed with me, he had been fed leftovers by his previous owners, and the cat wanted to get back to normal weight. The previous owners accused me of stealing their cat, what can you do. The cat stayed.

  4. I have an enormous cat like that (probably closer to 28 pounds, though) and he is roughly the same colors as Axel. He was given to me as a baby when my other cat passed away. He was brought from a litter in Mexico City, an nobody in my little town has ever seen a cat that huge! I have bought him special weight control food (nothing but the best for my 5!), but he simply eats twice as much of it sigh . He is seven now, and I worry he might get diabetes. Luckily my vets make house calls, because I can't carry him. My eldest is a Siamese. She has always been trim, and is currently 14. I was raised as an only child and have had cats my whole life. I have 2 kids in their 30s, and my daughter is always mad because she says I only have pictures of my cats and none of her and her brother. It isn't a lie… πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ή.

  5. That was very wise of you to adopt him. So he can now stay in your family as long as he lives (hopefully). And he will loose weight, but slowly. Keep him entertained and encourage him to walk. That may help.

  6. Your dedication in time and effort to bring Axel's weight down so he can live a more healthy and active life is really amazing. I hope at the end of the year when his weight is down to the current goal of 25 pounds, you will come back to GeoBeats and give everyone an update on his progress and his activities.Thank you for all your hard work!

  7. This is the bowling ball that was on Girl with the Dogs! Rooting for him to keep losing the pounds – he seems like a total sweetheart and deserves this love you're giving him!
