  1. In this episode, viewers witnessed the sobering reality of the lifeguard profession, showcasing the inherent challenges and emotional toll that come with the job. Despite the difficulties, the dedication and unwavering commitment of lifeguards to keeping our beaches safe is truly commendable. Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the individual who was lost 💙

  2. I remember scuba diving in Cancun Mexico with my husband and others and seeing a barracuda! Also Husband and I swam with sharks, no cage separating us. It was a thrill!

  3. Upmost respect to these guys for everything they do daily❤❤…and sending heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims in this episode …and also friends and family of everyone affected by the awful events that have occurred in Sydney over the past week❤❤❤

  4. Unfortunately at beaches like Bondi the lifeguards really earn their keep because too many visitors are unfamiliar with ocean swimming and conditions. Some don't even know how to swim. So hats off to them for the work they do.

  5. I only go as far as I can stand up in with a foot to spare and the water has to be as still as a puddle. I am not a good swimmer. I only do a length in the pool if i can stay at the side. I know my limitations. Never underestimate the power of open water and always appreciate those who may risk their life to save yours. No point showing off if it kills you.

  6. As an RN, I have dealt with death of patients in the hospital and home health and hospice care. It is never easy. I cry with the family. It helps to know that the patient is a Christian and saved and will have eternity in heaven. Family will usually reveal this to you. I have been present when my husband and in-laws passed away. That was the hardest thing ever. I had to do chest compressions on my Father-in-law before the code team got here. My husband coded in front of me in the ER. He was rushed to the trauma bay. The trauma team could not get his heart rhythm back after and hour of trying.

  7. Thanks so much for making this!
As a fellow first responder, there's a lot I've experienced- many codes, resus, search and rescue/recovery, and even MCI (mass casualty incident).

Oddly, it's just really never bothered me- though I saw a lot of really graphic stuff as a kid, so maybe that switch has been in the off position for quite sometime…(?). I'm glad you showed the critical incident debrief too, that's a really important part of closure for first responders.

Even early in my career, I was very acutely aware "everything that lives, dies", and the most important thing is to bring some amt of closure and consolation to the friends and family of the decedant.

Thanks for what you do, from someone who's highly terrfied of vast expanses of deep water🫣

    Speaking of which… are ya'll ok…?!
Seriously- there's been several high profile violent incidents there recently.
    Pls stay safe out there.

  8. Maybe it was just the way the production was cut or filmed, when it might have been more evenly split, but it seemed like Jesse ended up on a lot of body retrievals during his time there at Bondi

  9. Huge thankyou, appreciation and respect goes out too Reidy with everything that happened at Bondi ❤️ Heart and thoughts go out to him, victims and everyone that was there that day.

  10. As a military Vet that also saw things nobody should ever have to see when serving o’seas, I applaud that you all made sure Taco wasn’t going to see it. I do hope that everyone is offered and utilises professional counselling . The human brain protects itself from trauma yet often what has been suppressed can later be triggered…we all deal with trauma differently. From one ex-uniformed person to all of you that also serves their country and its people…‘thank you so much for your service’. 🫶🏼❤️

  11. We love lifegaruds because they save our lives amagin they aren't there hour life depsnds on if someone sees you or how the water goes thats why we apritiat them.❤😊

  12. Thinking of you all right now. This is a sad situation. I'm also very sorry about the stabbing attack. It seems like so much sadness is happening. Love from Kingwood, Texas.

  13. Dear YouTube, STOP unsubscribing us from channels without telling us. 2 months before I noticed, I just thought that this channel went on a break from uploading.

  14. i love watching bondi rescue and no one understands how bad i want to leave the U.S and move to australia to be a life guard. it’s such an amazing thing and i love all the boys in blue❤.

  15. Was a lifeguard at a community pool when I was much younger, and there is no way I am on this level. Mad respect for these ocean masters! Cheers Bondi, tough show this one. I hope the man who passed has been reunited with his family and been taken to better shores. Cheers all!

  17. Thank you for all your efforts to save people from the brink.
Meanwhile, hope that Taco can continue to learn the importance of life-guarding under you guys. Sometimes, knowing where you will be most helpful and when it is time to hand it off to someone else more suitable is also a very vital skill in such critical jobs.

  18. As a Sydneysider, I have to give a massive thanks to Reidy for his heroic efforts providing life-saving first aid to the victims of the horrific mass stabbing attack yesterday at Bondi. His actions went well beyond his lifeguard training, experience, or the bounds of his work. Undoubtedly he saved lives and gave the victims the best chance at recovery. I hope he's getting a lot of support to deal with the extremely traumatic event and is recognised for his efforts.

  19. It’s very good that we have lifeguards on bondi, if i didn’t have bondi lifeguards it should be TROUBLE Easy 🌊🏄🏼‍♂️⚠️

  20. BIG shout out to Reidy for his heroic work at Bondi junction where he helped save lives after the heartbreaking stabbings that happened yesterday, he assisted in saving people's lives who were hurt, AMAZING guy, not just saving lives on the beach but in the city as well. ❤ Australian hero.
