  1. I’m still , 3 months now I think, working with a ferrel husky mama and her four mixed pups. I still can’t pet them but the mama, Eiko, has started bringing her family from the middle of my 42 acre woods, to my yard and she finally licked my fingers twice. I’ve had people donate some supplies and one pup has a potential home…when I can catch them. It’s taking a lot of patience. I’ll keep at it because all the husky rescues are full.

  2. Anyone that is sending hate mail/negative comments needs to take a long look in the mirror. Let this be a lesson in how not to be a jerk. And furthermore, instead of wasting your time spreading negativity, maybe pull your lazy ass away from the computer & go volunteer at a shelter. Great work Asher House! Keep on keeping on! Much love to the whole team

  3. Just out of curiosity did you happen to rescue a dog from Marion county dog shelter his name was Wembley he was about a year old and very large Shepherd in the last month or two

  4. As for pure breeds and mixed breeds no matter which type of dog, I have had both and each dog has their own unique personality! I love them all. Lee you are an inspiration to us all. Thank you for taking your time, resources, and love, rescuing these dogs in need!

  5. To use a phrase from Taylor Swift, Players gonna play, haters gonna hate. You gotta shake it, yep, shake it off. Keep doing the awesome work you and the staff do. Bless you!

  6. Hi Lee I just read in google the poor dog named Sora in Valley animal center in Fresno California, she’s been in that shelter for 980 days , she was adopted after 900 days but unfortunately so sad she was returned after 24 hours, poor Sora is so broken, please please help poor Sora . Thank you Lee, Gid bless you more. Whoever here could adopt the poor dog😢❤️

  7. Lee, I'm living in Ohio, and I want to do exactly what you're doing here!!

You're absolutely correct, the shelters are filled with purebred dogs! I rescued a "Pit Bull mix," only to actually realize later that he's a purebred American Staffordshire Terrier; not a "Pit Bull," let alone a mix, but definitely pure breed of dog who falls under the generic Pit Bull umbrella, but no matter; there are just SO MANY dogs of ALL breeds who need rescued, but pure breeds seem to comprise the largest numbers of these shelter dogs! If I had the resources, I'd take ALL of those dogs, ALONG WITH all of the euthanasia listed dogs in those shelters, but of course, this is impossible for me….at the moment. I intend to change that.

  8. I got my service dog from a rescue. He came from a high kill shelter in Texas. He's beautiful, but was unwanted because he was so abused his tail was shattered and had to be amputated. He's no less of a dog for not having a tail. He's a black lab Newfoundland mix and I couldn't think of a better fit for me and my family. Just do you Lee and ignore the haters. Haters will hate no matter what you do.😊❤

  9. Asher, there's a large dog in Fresno,California that needs your help. She's been there 900 days . Hopefully they aren't going to put her down. I'm in Nebraska, and don't have the funds to get her. Please someone needs to save her. She looks part Great Dane.

  10. Rescue is all about taking the animals to a better environment than what they had experience not about the breed. Keep up the amazing work you and your staff do to train, and give a better life to all the animals you had rescued. ❤

  11. Omg…your saving hundreds of beautiful pups..please dont even waste your breath on "the breeds" of dogs…thats ridiculous!!@@..its about rescuing period!!!!❤❤..not what kind of dog..your answering to ignorant people..no need!!..keep up the great work!

  12. Lee´s dedication is to love and care for the rescues, not to answer more or less stupid questions. If he would answer every mail, he would spend his precious time with reading and writing instead of being with the animals. Appreciate, don´t hate.

  13. Who could send hate , and expect you to read every message! People are so silly ! You wouldn't be doing anything except answering comments! No more rescues just sit at that computer and type! 😂 thankyou for sharing your wonderful videos ❤😊

  14. The people who send "hate"mail obviously aren't worth bothering about…Not proper dog lovers….All dogs deserve to be rehomed no matter what their breed….Keep doing what you do….❤

  15. I cannot imagine the amount of work you have on your plate, with all the dogs/animals and all the things that come with it, let alone making videos and people send you hate mail because you do not see a comment? I am speechless.

  16. To me if you’re getting a question that is so silly, they’re not paying attention to what you’re doing. Just look at all the different breeds you have rescued. Yes there are pure breeds and mixed breeds. That’s the point. There isn’t just one type of animal that needs rescuing, it’s all breeds that need rescuing.

Love the ones that think they know everything without knowing nothing.

  17. People should also remember that the representative majority of breeds seen may vary in different parts of the country. I agree with Leigh that in WA and OR we see A LOT of huskies. I have adopted multiple shepherds, shepX and a PB Rottie from local rescues and shelters over the years and in visiting shelters in person and online I see a vast majority of dogs are indeed huskies and shepherds and pit pulls or crosses of these in my part of the PNW. This may be different on the East Coast but Leigh is in OR where we definetely have areas of OR and WA that are underserved with options for rescue or spay/neuter programs. Don't send hateful messages to someone trying to do good for these dogs who have clearly been misunderstood or mistreated. Keep on keepin on!
