Rabbits in the Animal Walk - Horniman Museum and Gardens
Spread The Viralist

Three of our rabbits – Bella, Tommy and Phoenix – eating their lunch, hopping around and grooming.

Bella (white and grey), Tommy (tawney grey) and Phoenix (smallest, grey) live in our Animal Walk. The Animal Walk is closed at the moment (lockdown) so we thought we’d share some gentle footage of their day.

Audio description: Three rabbits hopping about a small paddock, eating pieces of parsnip and leafy greens, grooming themselves and sitting still. Sounds of rabbits munching can be heard throughout, as well as background noise from the Gardens, such as children playing, the Sound Garden instruments and planes overhead.

The Horniman Museum and Gardens is an inspiring, surprising, family-friendly, free attraction in South London’s Forest Hill. We’ve been open since Victorian times, when Frederick John Horniman first opened his house and extraordinary collection of objects to visitors. Since then, our collection has grown tenfold and includes internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, as well as an acclaimed aquarium, Butterfly House and natural history collection.

Unusually for such an important museum, you can see our collection up-close and face-to-face. You can even pick up, try on and play with some of our objects.
