Matilda Beans, a frail kitten, was brought into foster care by Wrenn Rescues in California due to health issues including pneumonia and corneal ulcers.
Despite grim prognosis, fosterer Ashley Kelley provided extensive care including oxygen, medications, and supportive treatments, helping Matilda recover against the odds.
Matilda formed a strong bond with a snuggle lamb toy named Lamby Beans, which provided her comfort during her recovery.
Even after becoming healthy and moving into a playpen with other fosters, Matilda continued to carry and cuddle Lamby Beans obsessively.
Matilda, now a playful and resilient cat, still seeks comfort from Lamby Beans and continues to thrive in foster care under Ashley’s care, alongside other special needs kittens.
