A polydactyl kitten with thumb-like extra toes was discovered behind the headlights of a sedan at the Torrance Fire Station in Southern California.
Firefighters rescued the kitten, named Goose, from the wires and provided him with a makeshift bed and bath, as he was covered in dirt.
The firemen took care of Goose, ensuring he had food, hydration, and comfort, noticing his stress levels decreasing as he became more comfortable with affection.
Goose, known for his vocalizations, was eventually transferred to a foster volunteer, Nikki, through the local animal rescue, Wrenn Rescues, where he received proper care, baths, and attention.
In just six days, Goose transformed from an underweight and dirty kitten to a happy, playful, and well-fed cat in a home environment, showcasing a remarkable improvement in his overall well-being.
