I was watching the gamecwith Gathers when he collapsed, butvthecsad oart is he had some issues with his heart….seeing him ball back in the day was just amazing skills. Size , power and finesse for the big guy.
Its sad man to see world class athletes that die,but to see it by self induced ,through substance abuse, and sometimes its just by gods will especially when they are so young….Gathersxwas the perfect example…..then you had Len Bias.

Heโs not the only one maybe in the NFL but not college Chucky Mullins he lived a little while but paralyzed he was a Russellville Golden Tiger in high school he was an Ole Miss Rebel in college when he got hurt with the way he tackled and as a youth coach we break kids from that tackling style he was a head tackler is what we called it he always lowered his head that broke his neck tackling Brad Gains but his death was directly related from injuryโs sustained on the field this was in 89 died in 91 you didnโt live long then with that kind of injury

That's as many athletes died in one year as previously died in 30 years !

My cousin Matthew was on the San Diego Padres Quacker team in Cucamonga, California, he was a left-handed pitcher, while warming up in the bullpen, he suddenly collapsed, he was around 24, he had a heart attack and he survived, but due to lack of oxygen, he was left with permanent brain damage, he had an underlying heart condition that went undetected. He has a baseball card with his stats, and it's online, his name is Matthew La Chappa.

Definitely cant throw fast balls while drinking and on coke but you can definitely drink and do coke and be fine aslong as you uh dont maximize extremities like your arm so close to your heart or even exert yourself physically on those two drugs they r the only two drugs known to mix inside your body and blood that becomes a drug compound different from either look of called "cocethylene" seriously no joke look it up

In America, home of baseball, itโs field not pitch. Baseball Field.
I had a guy drop dead on the football field in high school just 5 feet away. He had an undiagnosed heart condition (sounded like same one as the soccer player puerta ).
He was their best player (inside linebacker) ans cross town rival. He just made a big tackle with our big fullback. It was a heck of a collision.
A lot of people were saying that is what caused it and it messed up the fullback mentality. It wasn't fair to him.
