  2. I'm seeing a lot of adopt don't shop comments here and while I mostly agree with the sentiment and believe it is coming from a good place, there is also a lot of misconceptions that come with it.
    Just because someone gets a dog from a breeder doesn't mean it was an inhumane puppy mill situation. There are benefits with having a well bred dog as well as many reasons to have one.
    Yes we should be prioritizing adoption of abandoned and neglected animals but we also shouldn't be shaming those getting them from good breeders who care for thier dogs and aren't just breeding them to make a quick buck at the expense of the puppy's health.

    Things aren't always so Black and white. It's the same thing with "if you're cold they're cold" it doesn't always work in such a linear fashion.
