Lovely wee watch! It offers a neat design, with the hidden crown, clean dial, comfy strap, unassuming on wrist, and muted colour pallate. Maybe I should relax and enjoy it rather than trying to put it in a box….. But if I you twist my arm, I’d say it was a more casual explorer style tool watch aimed at a younger market. So there! Cheers, Jody

Glad you were transparent about the sponsor. Would have been nice without the sponsorship though
Another advertisement. He is the master of getting people to watch 15 minute commercials.
I pre-ordered this in beige. It's terrific, though the numerals get lost in low light with the lack of contrast. I'd probably go green if I could do it over. Great watch though
I really wish I could try one of these on, but I love the aesthetics (especially that shade of green). The rest of their watches certainly felt like decent quality at Windup Chicago, but this model wasn't out at the time. The lacking lume is a bit stunning in this case. It certainly looks like it would nail that one thing. I wish I could try it on, because the size concerns me a bit. I'm a bit of a giant and while I've certainly not got an 8 inch wrist, I've not found a 37mm or smaller watch that quite looked/felt right. I have some 38mm watches that do. You wouldn't expected 1mm to make that much difference, but it has so far. 🤷♂
Yes I wanted one untill I saw the price. I just put a Vario Brown strap on my Sarb 35. For over 600 Euro's the case is just to plain.
It fits into the exclusive "I wouldn't mind one of those" box.
Well put together review as ever. The watch itself looks and sounds like an ‘also ran’ and ‘did not finish’ at the UK’s Grand National horse race at Aintree.
Seems like i was ignoring Baltic for too long. They actually have some very interesting watches.
Hmmmm, looks good, and from the first images I've said WOW!
…but…
-the lume, why it's so lame?
-the dial looks clean, but so flat… a solarized dial will add some life and reflexes
-the price, from their site 671 euro for Italy.
Thanks but no thanks, a bientôt Baltic, 2 monkeys.
37mm?
It's a girls watch.
A miss. This could have been an awesome skin diver if better executed.
… taking another look, it really is another take on the W10 with a different dial, and you ought to know that one 🙂
It is a Vostock Kondirskie inspired dress watch. It's like, you take a T-34 tank, take off the turret and tracks, so you get a Lada limousine, and then you squish the snout a bit, and you have a perfectly dress-party suitable Rolls-Royce look-a-like!
Young, fit, and beautiful… def not my demographic 😂
Looks like a cute little watch my 12 year old sister would wear…
What's wrong with you man!
Its obviously a vintage skindiverfieldwatch
Id call it a retro sport casual. sort of looks like the type of casual watch youd find in the late 50s early 60s
If I had the cash to splash, I'd have a watch from each of Baltic's product lines.
FYI: Rolex Explorer has no 12 on the dial
this screams for one of Vario's Tweed straps
DON'T buy any baltic watches, they are garbage. I ordered their MR01 for 605 euros, paid in full, in advance. I received the watch 7 months later. It ran 9 MINUTES fast per hour (not 9 seconds). The b.o.r. bracelet was very cheap, I have $100 watches with vastly superior bracelets. And the return process was a nightmare. They couldn’t: find my address, couldn’t send a prepaid return label. Wanted to refund my money to paypal when it was not used for the purchase. So I paid for the return shipping
and they committed in writing, to refund the shipping cost. Then they refused to pay for the return shipping cost after receiving their returned watch. This company is wildly incompetent, and massively dishonest.
Umm…….It's a watch.
Really like this design. I think the integrated crown is a really smart design move.
This one is making my eyeballs very happy. I've had my eye on another similar model from farer. Spoilt for choice as usual. The hand winding might have made the decision for me.
I have an Aquascaphe. I love the watch and despise the Lum. Why can’t Baltic do a decent lum? And the price is about 40% too high.
I just looked at your Erebus watches. Im absolutely in love with the case shape, lugs, and bracelet. You knocked it out of the park, my friend. I will absolutely be buying the red one VERY soon!
Not every watch design needs to be neatly placed into a style box. A nicely made, nicely styled, versatile watch is all it needs to be, definition be dammed. If I had to pigeonhole this particular Baltic, I’d consider it a field watch. But who cares. Now I actually want one 😮😂
looks like a watch to me, I dunno
Fancy field watch
Hey Jody, thanks for the great videos, I really appreciate your channel!
I wanted just to propose a little correction: I was at the Baltic showroom yesterday and I asked specifically about the hand winding – they told me it IS possible to hand wind the watch (though it may be uncomfortable, but I imagine one can get used to it).
These tropic style rubber straps should always have 2x the number of center holes, even if it messes up the hole pattern. Why do we demand micro adjustments on a bracelet and basically expect a poor fit on a strap?
This would look so great on leather or nato/canvas strap!
Oh why did they make it with that recessed crown?! That ruins the entire look for me! Size, dial and case finish is awesome, DD sapphire…and I wouldn’t mind a mineral glass at all, and sure the movement thankfully isn’t a NH36 but a 28800 vph miyota, all good, but why that recessed crown? Crap
Gorgeous watch Jody and the fkm strap wins it for me. I find 37mm a bit small for my 8.1" wrist unless it's a dress watch. For a sporty tool type watch bigger is better for me. I'd love this in 39-40mm. Beautiful though and suitable for many wrists. A sure fire winner !
too expensive is what I would call it.
That winding though…
This is what a Swatch should be.
I think that is beautiful and for me is a GARDA/dress watch. Garda on the tropic then a quick swap onto leather and you have your dress. Simple really 😅
I'm blown aways buy how good the polishing is on that ring around the dial and how beautiful the brushing is everwhere. It almost looks satin.
Hi jomw, it's like a feild explorer, nice.
It is way too expensive for what it is. The french watch industry has been long time dead and its for a reason. 100 euros less would be almost acceptable, but not at that price level.
