  1. Great story about the rescue of an abandoned dog! She is so adorable that it doesn't surprise me that your family fell in love with her in no time. Fortunately, she fits right into your family dynamic and is living her best life! Kudos all around!

  2. Such a sweet story. I’ve adopted a few dogs from shelters and they always look so sad and they can pick up on when you’re sad. Some idiot abandoned a dog on a street in Staten Island just tied her to a pole and put a blanket down and took off. So heartbreaking they don’t know what’s happening and if their owner will come back. That dog I adopted and he came out of his shell after a while. I can relate though; why trust anybody or anything as permanent after abandonment. The dogs just want to love and be loved but it’s work. Good work. Watching a little broken soul get its health, confidence, and trust restored is a journey for both humans and doggos. Just to see them run and play and watch a unique personality develop under all that trauma is amazing. ❤

  3. It touches my heart you're doing this. IMO, you should have given the dog to your father, not only because he's your father and wanted a dog, and you owe it to him as your father, BUT it was obvious there was an instantaneous bond between he and the dog.
I was actually quite shocked you actually told your father, "No, he couldn't have it!"
"Seeing the dog whenever he wants to", is a FAR cry from the dog being his. If you disagree with that, just ask some kids of divorced parents, about "how great it is they can see their father once a week for visitation". You compare the two asif they're equal, and they're anything but.
Just saying… Never the less, I can't thank you enough for rescuing this dog.

  4. NEVER Abandon an animal. It says pretty bad things about those who do. I don't need to know you if you can't be bothered to take them into a place where they won't starve. I've seen horrible things when they are abandoned and will take them to the pound before I allow that kind of suffering. They still have a chance at life!

  5. People that can be this wicked to poor vulnerable animals, I will NEVER trust them with a child or a sick and vulnerable elderly person..Thanks for rescuing this poor dog. Shame on the owner. 😣
