  1. The handler must rewatch the video, the octopus did give the lid about a quarter turn at 3.23, this loosened the grip on the seal as it is pinched between the ring screw and clear bottle, thus ms/Mr octopus was able to pull it off. Mostly luck due to its trials not a concise choice on its part

  2. I was trained as a diver in the US Navy and have had many encounters with octopus in the ocean. I am firmly convinced they are of a species that originated somewhere else in the universe, came to our planet before the dawn of man and liked it so much, they stayed.

  3. Yeah guys…brute force is a sign of intelligence…come on. Not saying they aren't intelligent…but this video…nothing to see here. He did the same thing just about any creature will do to get food – he tore apart the container. Assuming he 'stepped back to re-assess'…what fact is this based on? Ah, right, nothing except he looks like he's stepping back and 'thinking'….this ain't science.

  4. I learned that the octopus should be in the sea, not captive, for you to “learn “ about them! You can watch them, in the see! Spend your time stopping the mukbang cruelty, where they eat live creatures, like snakes, octopus, and worse!

  5. Imagine the terror of the fish as its nightmare slowly made its way to him. While these experiments are interesting they are also unnecessarily cruel. A dead fish could have been used.
