1. Viet Cong does not mean Vietnam communist. And they weren’t killed because the officers enforced drug policy . They were killed for wasting their men’s lives in patrols

6. The draft is WRONG, forcing people to fight for a war if they did not feel right being in, should not of forced them into fighting!~
   The US Military should use people who want to fight for this country, not people who are drafted an stuck fighting a war they want nothing to do with and could die in!~
   Bad enough the government is technically enforcing slavery with the draft, you are not a willing participant, you are either told to fight or jailed which is WRONG!~
   An yes I did try an serve 2 times, but was a section F both times due to my eyes!~ An I have seen the Wall in the Vietnam Memorial during a Honor Flight!~

12. My father is a Vietnam veteran. When he was in Vietnam 1969 to 1970, and as a part of an Airborne unit. Fragging wasn't part of the deal. My father's words, not mine. " You needed every man in a combat unit. The NVA didn't care what color your skin is, or what rank you were. As far as the NVA was concerned. We were all Americans. And there fore, the enemy."
    In my father's unit, they had went through 3 Platoon leaders during his time in Vietnam. The first platoon leader finished his 6 months in an infantry platoon. And was routated to the rear for an administrative position. The next platoon leader ended up getting himself and half the platoon sick. By eating with the locals. The last platoon leader made it till my father completed his tour in Vietnam. My father then caught what was called your freedom flight home. So my father never found out knew what happened to that last platoon leader. Nor did he care to find out.
    From my understanding and what little research i have done. Fragging was more of a problem rear echelon units, not so much in combat units.

19. What’s wild is I know an old geezer that was in Vietnam. He has a story where one of the lower guys( i don’t know the rankings) was on Guard duty. He was crooked so him and another soldier set him straight but as they were walking away he shot the other soldier in the back and then killed himself. The guy who was shot in the back also died.
