If you want a magical visit to Italy, the coast road from Naples is marvellous, you could visit Possitani and Portofino, two little places far less commercialised than Amalfi, my father was serving there in 1944, around the time that Vesuvius last erupted,, he spoke very affectionately about the people he met, he and my mother went back there in 1962 and again in '66, absolutely breathtaking scenery on the coast, I've since visited half a dozen times, wonderful country, lovely friendly people, go there and see for yourself if and when funds permit 😊❤

15. Good for you John informing the MOD police about the man shouting and what he was saying , in front of children that was objectionable at the least . Your sausage roll looked delicious I'm hungry now you got a few funny looks though , the boy looked jealous probably said to mam and dad I want one of those ! In this cold weather it's great to look back on lovely warm days , shortest day next week 21at , the turning of the year . The majority of the happy people were causing no problems , it's the ones who are silly enough to put their in some cases very small children right next to a big horse that can in the blink of an eye become unsettled that always worry me ! 16. Thanks John it was nice to go back in time to a sunny warm London, I have a question that I have wondered about for a while. On the wall beside the gate entrance to the stables there is written (I think it says) HG 1 Ft do you know what that stands for or at some stage can you find out for me.
    Hope your well and enjoying your break from Horse Guards but I am sure missing that daily hussle and bussle that it always is.

26. What is wrong with some of these parents, they should not be allowed to call themselves that, when they clearly see the horse shaking his head like that, and they put there baby so close, if the horse (no fault), shook his head just a bit to much, never mind ur holiday , u wud have no child, 😡

30. I have to say the lifeGuard standing there is very handsome in his uniform, I do like the Blues and Royals Uniform. I think his slow walk is to give time for people to get out of his way. Lol. Love watching this Guard on duty he is never the same: He is fast this time on the movie to the Arches, lol: Kiwi

34. I always find it funny, seeing a parent holding quite tall child, for a photo next to a Soldier or horse. Sorry, but I just think it looks daft.🇬🇧

35. Hmmmm gotta say what's IN the uniform ain't too shabby in this case John lol, tho I'm not saying the uniform hurts. I wonder how many times each of the troopers gets photographed in a duty? Our favourite trooper really does have a presence about him, doesn't he? That slow walk draws the eye (not just female eyes) and focuses attention, which does at least minimise having to yell.
    One thing I've never gotten is the whole "take a picture and point to the 17 hand horse in the background“…. presumably in case the viewer misses him??!!? Very odd.
    Lol hope you enjoyed your sausage roll John but please, never film from that angle again!! There are only so many tourist derrière i can handle in one video😮😂

36. Alas, at 23:00 you withdrew behind the gate (hoping to catch the scattering of some potentially shouted-at tourists) and missed the shot of our favourite Trooper kissing the guard's horse. The rest of the footage was fun, though.
