This man spent Father’s Day protecting his child from a gunman! It happened at a gas station in Detroit. Police released video of the incident showing the suspect opened the door to the gas station’s convenience store, pulled out a gun and clip from his pants, inserted the clip and then pointed it at a man inside who was holding a baby. A person of interest has since been apprehended. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I have a feeling the man would've fought the man to death but since he had his baby with him, he thought about the baby's safety so he retreated after he swatted the gun away. What a great daddy!

Thank God the gunman didn’t know how to use an automatic handgun. After he inserted the clip he failed to chamber a round into the chamber that’s the reason it wouldn’t fire. You can see him looking puzzled as he’s looking at the gun while he’s walking away. I hope he realizes that God was looking out for him as well.
