  1. Every one of the filmmakers was lucky but the Frisch Tx F-4 filmed from a trailer takes the cake. It looked like the multiple vortices were in a recycling phase as it passed over the man’s home. Watching as it comes closer and intensifies I was gripped with the urge to tell the guy to get in his truck and run but then you realize it’s too late. Shortly after his neighbors home directly in front of him was ripped to shreds. The main circulation severely damaged his home but he was spared the extreme winds concentrated in the vortices. Going into a ditch is the rule of thumb in a non anchored weakly built structure but it goes against human nature to want to try even while understanding the science why. The Fairdale tornado footage is well known for a good reason most videos of high end tornados are of side swipes as catastrophic as that is. Filming from the second floor as a home takes a direct hit is unprecedented for good reason. There are videos of worse situations but they to my understanding are from those who didn’t make it like in scientist and chaser Tim Samaras his son and friend who were taken by surprise by the unprecedented and unpredictable El Reno EF-5. Understandably the family didn’t want their serious and professional legacy tarnished by a video of their tragic end. Tim was arguably the most experienced chaser there was and a serious scientist who collected live saving data by taking calculated risks deploying probes in the path and near tornados. It shocked the community as he was known as one of the most careful in the field. The storm was so large it was deceptive up close counterintuitively as the condensation funnel was surrounded by a 2.5 mile wide circulation that had satellite tornadoes coming and going in a blink while hard to see wrapped in rain. I appreciate the videos as there is a raw power that is mesmerizing and so rare to see but putting things into context helps understand just how amazing it is to have videos of this sort.

  2. Washington Illinois was a political disaster as well goes to show that Democrats don't give a damn about you as much as Republicans if they did they would have gotten the federal aid they had every right to get.

  3. I can't even fathom a tornado in the dark. Having no idea where it really is, is crazy. When the lights went out… yeah, i'm good. I'll take the New England winters any day.

  4. That be scary shit at night time in pitch darkness with all the debris flying around wondering wtf is gonna smash into ya hopefully nothing but still I guess the best place to hide is Below ground level so she passes over you and you'll be protected somewhat from the side winds just have to watch you don't get sucked up out of the hole you crawled into If I lived in a rural area in tornado land I'd dig a whole with the tractor or backhoe I mean and Barry a 20ft storage container in the ground then build my garage or barn Overton of it and if the event of a surprise twister I'd imagine many of em show up by surprise and there's little to no time to do anything but call the dogs grab the wife and kids and head for cover not sure what you could do about livestock should you have any would they be safer in a barn or open the gates and turn em loose into the pasture or steer them out the driveway and they can take off down the rd to where they feel safe and you,ll just have to go round em up afterwards I think personally I'd turn em loose hopefully pointing them in the right direction and a 20foot container is big enough to shelter the neighbours if they aren't far away and have the time to make it over to your barn cause here I've heard tornado warning issued but that doesn't tell ya if where or when one decides to come so I'd imagine Most people are caught by surprise and have just a few min to do what they have to do I know here with all the forest fires they are looking into some kinda way in the event of a fire to load up anyone's lives stock an bring em to safer ground cause right now there's nothing and a few farmers lost their barn with all their livestock trapped inside could u
You imagine those poor horses and beefs I was pleased to hear that anyway that several farmers are forming their own alliance an in the event of a fire threat they will team up together an help another get everyone's animals evacuated rather than leave them hope for the best when they get back I couldn't leave my dogs they have to shoot me if I was not allowed to take em with me that's bullshit Making people leave their dogs behind crazy stuff That's for sure lol

  5. F@ck never seen a hurricane or tornado like these I'm. 43 knock on wood there's none of this shit here in Northern Ontario at all not in my 43yrs living here the states it seems every month there's a new one brewing up kinda makes ya go hmmmm

  6. I was in a parking garage across the street from the apartments in the Bowling Green clip. The most terrifying night of my life so far.

  7. As a storm chaser. We hate that people video tornadoes. Most don't understand the nature of tornados. Heck 12 years of chasing and I'm still learning. But this is how people are hurt or worse killed. Leave the video work to the professionals please. Just take cover and stay safe. Most of you have families that need you.

  8. I can't believe President Obama in the year 2013 denied Illinois disaster aid. That's terrible!! I bet if it had been a bunch of black people he probably would have helped them but because it was all white people I guess he decided that they weren't worth it.

  10. I can't believe that guy filmed the whole time that tornado was baring down on him, the bravest or most foolish video I've ever seen, I'll never see a tornado video like that. By far #1.

  11. Wow the very first video is incredible. The man gets hit by lightning and still films the destruction of his entire neighborhood. Talk about having a big brass pair of balls!! Just wow

  12. One of the reasons that the Andover tornado gets so much airplay is that at McConnell AFB it was undergoing intensification, something that had rarely been filmed before. At 10:00 you can see the video start with the tornado as a narrow cone, and a low end F3. By the time the sirens cut out at 10:35, the tornado base is beginning to widen and fully condense. When debris hit the powerline near the cameraman at 10:46, it was easy to see the tornado was rapidly widening and becoming stronger. It was, to use storm chaser parlance, "Wedging Out," turning from a cone into a wedge as it raced up the Fujita scale. About 10:55 it was already doing F4 damage to the base. 30 seconds later at 11:28, it was a mature F5 wedge. Tornado intensification now has a lot of video documentation thanks to storm chasers, but back then, this was one of the only examples on video.

Also, at 13:33, that's about as close as you can get to a fully mature F5 tornado and survive. One of the most terrifying tornado videos ever taken. That is what the fastest winds on Earth sound like, and it is not something anyone who watches the video will soon forget.

  13. All were terrifying! I live in California, Bay Area, wgere the threat of a big quake is high, but I'd take a quake over a tornado. There is no way I would move to an area such as tornado alley. They freak me out!

  14. I think the girls in the last one screamed cause they saw the tornado during the flas of lightning and it sounds like they took shelter as a result.

  15. Hey Doctor Prowl, you "legit" have some of the best content on YouTube. The fact you don't have millions of subscribers is a crime. Give it time and I am sure you will.

  16. ALL of those were truly terrifying 😮!!! The people that live in Tornado Alley or Dixie Alley got Ballz for days that's for sure!!! Just wanted to tell you Doctor Prowl, that I absolutely love your channel and I'm so happy that YouTube recommended it to me!!! I hope your channel keeps growing!!! You are so good at this my friend!!! Your voice is perfect and your narrating is on point!!!
    Cant wait for more!!! 😊
