Deadly Disasters: Landslides

Deadly Disasters – Hurricanes: https://youtu.be/EJw8N-lzBAc

Nothing can be done to prevent a landslide once it starts; they are among the most ferocious and devastating forces in nature.

Using survivor testimony and fascinating expert insights, we examine three of the most terrifying mudslides in recent history: In California, where heavy rainfall moved massive amounts of mud down barren, fire-damaged hillsides; In Venezuela, where a series of destructive landslips wiped out a 100-kilometer coastline; and in the small Welsh mining village of Aberfan, where a calamitous mudslide overtook an entire school of young children.

  1. This episode looks at the landslide disasters in California, where heavy rainfall moved massive amounts of mud down barren, fire-damaged hillsides; in Venezuela, where a series of destructive landslips wiped out a 100 kilometre coastline; and in the small Welsh mining village of Aberfan, where a calamitous mudslide overtook an entire school of young children.

  2. People have destroyed the world and mother nature has its ways of taking back what is hers. She doesn't care about how many she takes as we've proven how much we care for her. People need to learn not to rape her clean of what she needs.

  3. keep felling trees so you can kit yourhouse out with precious fancy furniture you goons….then the root system dies and then the ground gets weakened. listen to your government tell you its all your fault bcoz ur cows are farting

  4. We live in a house on a steep hill. Probably one of the biggest mistakes of my life. You're building departments and building codes don't cover how to build things on slopes such as those properly. They're more interested in tax revenue. Just like when the Secretary of State for Louisiana deleted the requirement for flood insurance in New Orleans just before the hurricane.
