15 of the Loudest Animals on Planet Earth
Spread The Viralist

The animal kingdom is filled with many different noises, from screams and purrs to howls and rumbles. Some of which are so loud that they might leave your ears ringing. These loud voices are however necessary in the wild as they help the animals communicate with one another, attract mates, intimidate and scare away predators, mark territories, look for food or simply find their way back home. Sometimes you just have to shout to make a point. It is however worth noting that the loudest sound that can be produced by a human being is 70 decibels. Sounds above 120 decibels are capable of causing physical pain and even deafness to the delicate human ear. The eardrum can burst at the sound of 160 decibels.
Welcome to another episode of 4 Ever Green! Before we begin, get yourself a bucket of popcorns as we explore 15 animals with the loudest roars in the world. Yes, some of these animals can produce sounds that are louder than the subway train.

  1. My favorite one out of this selection was the pistol tiger shrimp. When they snap thier claws it really sounds like a pistol under water. And it is even more incredible that they use there sound to shock thier prey. The Animal world is amazing.

  2. No one had a pissed off US Marine drill instructor yell at you if you think man's voice can only put out 90 Db. Their yell can hurt immediately and is deafening when then yell at less than 6 inches from your ear.
