Here’s a video on how to stay centered in your lane. There are mainly two reasons why beginners drift:
1-They’re not looking at the right place,
2- the way they hold the wheel.
That’s what I talk about in this video. Hope you like it.
Note: While I try to make my videos as universal as possible, rules and laws may vary according to the place where you’re driving and might be different from the ones in this video. Always drive according to the laws and rules that apply to the place where you are driving. Requirements at the driving exam may also be different than the ones shown here. Always respect the requirements that apply to the place where you are passing your driving exam. This video is not meant to replace your official driving courses.

If you need this lesson you are unfit to drive and will mess up something else.
New learner driver here!!!! Very useful video!!
Why am I even here, I thought this would help for driving high lol
I wish you were my instructor in real life. The people I ask these questions too give me empty answers or just tell me to stay in the middle.
Fucking rules
i actually need this video, thanks youtube sidebar recommend (came from video about nyc driver getting out of tight park spot)
The problem with experienced drivers teaching others how to drive is that the experienced drivers do everything based on feel, but the learners haven’t developed that intuitive sense yet. The most common complaint I hear from student drivers is their instructors telling them to just “feel” the road. Unless they already have a very developed sense of intuition (which was in my case, so I needed less hours before the wheel before I took my test), most inexperienced drivers will be lost in what to do. What makes a good driver is not necessarily what makes a good teacher. A good teacher is supposed to meet the student where they are at and explain things simply. I had a fantastic instructor who knew I was in a good spot after 4 hours of driving with him. At one point he let go of all the reins and let me do my own thing, simply acting as a source of confidence and reassurance.
Thank for your lesson. I'm a school driver student right now and always have this problem with lines. Especial with right line, when I need parking or change line for turning right, I drive too close to the curb.
So thank you again. Hope to practice on my next lesson.
Maaan.! This is gonna help me alot.! For real.! 👏👏👏
Not good. You didn’t even mention the wheel is off centre so you need to adjust for that. You can’t centre yourself you need to centre the car.
At 70 years old this made more sense than all the yelling my husband has done! Wow! I always try to move with traffic and not hold people up. Going to put this into practice next time I’m driving.
To see how close you are to left or right side, look in your side mirrors left and right. You will see the side of the car and the lane markers / street edge.
I drove and nearly crashed because I was told to pay attention to the street while switching lane, at the same time learning about the blind spot. Focusing one thing at a time till I noticed a car peaking it's nose out the curb. Slowly switched lane checking the side mirror by my father instructions and focusing at the car ahead of me, when suddenly "Look out!" with a dash of hard turn that shook the vehicle when we shifted lanes, my father caused the hard shift. Scolded because I wasn't paying attention at the car ahead of me. Become stressed since I learned a lot while questioning myself trying to grasp the concept of blind spot. Didn't speak up just accepted it and mumbled have faith in me.
being an australian the drivers seat looks so weird cause we have our drivers seat on the right side of the vehicle
Someone tag me in a few years;
Hi future self. You were trying your best to learn new driving techniques after passing your driving test, because you didnt like how you would drive inside your lane, even though your father was saying that you were driving better than 80% of the people on the roads. You thought that the black line from the road was the way to stay straight inside the lane, but this video taught you that you need to look ahead.
You recently just installed 3-D number plates on your car, and the only other thing to do is to dechrome your trim and replace the front DRL bulbs with LED ones.
You also didn't play any games today and focused on your future career as a Software Engineer. You learned some Python today and coded some assignments. If you continue at this rate, you will get into uni without any trouble.
The days were getting shorter, and there was a lot more rain, going into the Winter Season here, in the UK. Meaning you were driving mostly at night to go and pick up your mother from work. You were beginning to feel more confident driving around 60MPH on the backroads, leading off the motorway. You also recently realised that driving in the dark, while it's raining and you have other road users headlights shining brightly into your eyes, isnt as easy as it seams.
Oh, and at the roundabouts, you used to get upset at other road users who would not signal, at all, so you had to wait for them to see where they are going, in order not to cause an accident. Bloody Bastards.
But anyhow, im sure you managed to get enough experience, to not have to worry about anything on the road anymore, and be able to drive relaxed.
If you are reading this in a few years time, I hope this message made you remember some cool moments, about your driving adventure.

How the fuck there is that many views on this video I’m scared 😂
Got my Drivers license yesterday, when starting to drive I was drifting alot , thanks to this video I was able to fix that problem . Thank you 😊
Fantastic video, the examples and visual are great. Thanks so much!
This is the first video that popped up on my feed and I just had to see what the hype's about. Granted… I've been driving for years and RESPONSIBLY for the matter and all I wanted to see from this channel was how to use TURN SIGNALS! And lo and behold… *applauds* this channel has a video dedicated to just that. Now to everyone out there who's learning to drive or already has their license… USE YOUR DIRECTIONALS PLEASE! I cannot stress this enough as I've almost got into 3 accidents yesterday because reckless drivers are refusing to communicate on the road. Great job to this channel for creating clear and informative lessons on how to drive properly. 👏👏👏
THANK YOU SO MUCH, LIKE OMG, IT ACTUALLY HELPED ME!!! THANKSS!!!!!
Very informative. Thank you.
Know how wide your car is and keep an equal amount of space between the lines….oh, and pay attention when you are driving…all the time 😊
You're not in the centre of the car and this is fuckin stupid
I have found that, at least in the 3 cars that I have driven, that the design on the hood on the drivers side is a good reference for your drivers side tires, and the middle wiper knuckle is a good reference for the passenger side tires
How to Stay Centered in Your Lane?
Don't look at your phone! Do not turn your back on fellow passengers (I am thinking especially of children.)! Don't look for an object dropped on the floor!
Devote yourself to driving!
Do people really have issue staying in lane? 😮
Good video! Thanks
Thank you for this tip! I had a lot of questions, like how to stay centered. My instructor would just tell me "feel it". Glad I found your channel. I clicked "subscribe"as I find your channel very educational. Keep on posting driving tips for students/beginners!
Good methods given here.
An effective trick that will help you to learn what driving in the middle of your lane feels like and looks like:
Check both side mirrors to see how you are tracking in relationship to the lane stripes.
This will especially be helpful if you are driving a higher or lower profile vehicle than you are used to.
Hope this helps,
Stay safe!
I love this video it was helped for me,i passed 2nd time in dubai driving… Thanks boss
I love how he speaks 😁 Learing a lot from you guys! Thank you!
I have difficulty judging the right side of my car. I’m afraid I would hit an object/person in front of the right side while it’s actually far enough. I can’t judge properly.
Thanks for the help!
Nice
I’m a grown man and I keep getting frustrated while driving my new car and I now see what my problem is. Thank you
I am teaching my daughter how to drive (pray for me😂) and she tends to drift too much to the right. This video is very helpful. Thank you!
I'm currently learning how to drive (I have taken 3 courses so far) and this is very helpful! Thank you!
Is it really that easy? I mean, isn't your view kinda skewed from the driving seat lol. I thought I'd rely on the left lines to guide me. Otherwise I think I'd tend to lean towards the middle of the car to get a center view haha. Please excuse my ignorance, I have no driving experience.
I'm learning to drive and am about to go to the DMV thanks man
