Spread The Viralist

One of the most catastrophic effects of a changing climate is the melting permafrost and resulting rising sea levels. The Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing, forever, and some coastal areas are in danger of disappearing in the next 10 years. Additionally, heat waves are on the rise, as well as droughts, fires and floods.  Some cities are seeing the highest monthly temperatures in history. Ocean water is heating up, aquatic life is migrating north to more comfortable temperatures impacting ocean-based industries such as lobster fishing.

  1. The frigid new record, announced Wednesday (Sept. 23) in a statement from the U.N.'s World Meteorological Organization (WMO), shivers past the previous record of minus 90.4 F (minus 67.8 C) set in two different towns in the Siberian Arctic, first in 1892 and the other in 1933. For comparison, all three of those extreme lows sneak past the average temperature on Mars, which is roughly minus 81 F (minus 63 C), according to NASA.

"In the era of climate change … this newly recognized cold record is an important reminder about the stark contrasts that exist on this planet," WMO Secretary-General Petteri Taalas said in the statement. So what is the coldest spot today, Wednesday September 20th 2023? -24F at summit station Greenland at elevation of 10,530 feet. So, where does this extreme cold come from? Because this altitude is where the Keeling Curve says the highest levels of CO2 will sit. Funny it is not keeping the warmth at the summit station in Greenland. Could it be that the earths Magma is very active and heating the oceans? Why blame it on man made anything yet? What kind of scientist are you?

  2. You know I wonder how much Russia doing nuclear testing around the artic is why the artic is being destroyed. They did nuclear bomb testing in the ice caves..

  3. Core samples in the Sahaira desert showed that Mother earth dose a 10,000-year tilt that makes the desert a jungle long enough to leave a thick layer of black soil then back to desert! With the technology we have we can use solar power to pump salt water into solar powered desalination evaporation domes & solar power pumping to deserts to stay green & keep growing food! FEAR tactics for raising money shame on you! taking advantage of ignorance. Looks like you are also!

  4. First of all,it's not fossil fuel, that's a lie, second, climate change is part of the earth,it's a cycle that's been going on for millions of years and depending on where you started keeping records it might even be cooler than it has been in the past. Also not all the glaciers are melting some are growing. Poles change, volcanos happen all the time. One volcano trumps any of our emissions by thousands of times. We're Flys on the way compared to a volcano. If people would just learn a little science then our current leaders wouldn't be able to lie so easily to destract you from the real issues like how they are poisoning the food and ground water with bad business practices.

  5. This reminds me of the film "Day After Tomorrow," when humans THINK we have decades to remedy our errors, then crap ends up happening in a week, instead of a decade.

  6. so the monetary system We as a species created thousands of years ago have appealed to our 7 human qualities ( 7 deadly sins for you christian folk) which reward our Ego because we still don't see a bigger picture. The greedy always take more than their share. In a resourced based economy sooo many of todays issues wouldn't – couldn't exist. Sadly or own nature holds us back. Do your own research! Don't shoot the messenger… how do we change this, by instilling this knowledge into the next generation, and hope they can evolve beyond our primitive state.
