I am past the point of thinking this is incompetence or a mistake with how atrocious public officials have been over the years.
I heard that they didn’t sound the alarms because people were taught to head for the hills for a tsunami. The problem was the hills were on fire and they didn’t want to send people there.
I’m sorry but the ppl in position who failed Lahaina need to be prosecuted. To me, this was involuntary manslaughter. To now hear that the main road was blocked and if you sat in traffic and obeyed those orders, you were burned alive in your car. Anyone also running the utility companies who didn’t react should be prosecuted. Anyone directly running the emergency systems in place – sirens, announcements, etc. need to be prosecuted. The mayor AND the governor also responsible!!!
Good job democrats! Biden as always with solutions, like a whole 700$ payment to families! While fema sits in 5 star hotels 1000$ a night, locals are still struggling, and hundreds of missing burnt to a crisp children are underreported. Whole families are gone so who’s going to report?

Honestly this is all kind of suspect to me. Been seeing reports of how the natives are being priced outt of their homes and having to leave their paradise and now this. The claim is the Electric company caused the fire and the alarm failed. Two catastrophic failures back to back. I'm keeping an eye out for the rebuild to see what I expect to happen. How about explaining why the police were ordered to blockade the streets?? Preventing residents from being able to flee!!!! How you going to just leave those people to be burned alive?!?! All those people trusted their government officials and law enforcement!! They waited in the long line of traffic, remaining in the cars that they were told to do by law enforcement, believing that they could trust their government, law enforcement to “protect and serve”…. The same government officials and agencies who gave them NO ADVANCE WARNING!!same people who didn’t respond to their aid, same people who refused fire and rescue services! Refused police and emt… same people who left them there to save themselves or die … now we find out that the police that did actually respond were only there to block the traffic from being able to evacuate?!?? And we suppose to be surprised that they are refusing to allow donations of much needed food, water, supplies and essentials to the victims who lost everything?!?! After hearing that this was not just an absolute complete and utter failure from government officials and agencies… worse!!! It was intentional and deliberate act to murder innocent civilians by preventing their escape ,, guaranteeing that they were massacred by the raging inferno unleashed on them.. starting to make more sense now….. why government is confiscating the donated supplies from volunteers and hoarding them in metal containers assuming they don’t get to the victims who desperately need them!!!
