A landslide happened in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on April 18, 2023. The landslip, which buried more than 20 trucks and resulted in at least seven fatalities (including two Afghan nationals), as well as dozens more who are believed to be trapped, was caused by a thunder and lightning storm. As a result of the incident, the Torkham crossing, an important border crossing between Pakistan and Afghanistan, was closed.
