Animals Unexpected
From bears in swimming pools to top predators living in the heart of New York City, this one-off special takes a look at the world’s strangest and most unexpected animal invasions. As we move creatures around the world, and our towns and cities spill into the wilderness, we’re coming into contact with the most unlikely cast of animal characters. Stories include African hippos now living happily in South America, North American raccoons invading the German capital Berlin and rare sea mammals flocking to the waters around power stations.

Welcome to Earth Unplugged! We make films about the incredible natural world, we investigate the conundrums, quirks and beautiful science of our amazing planet, delving into the BBC vaults and mixing it up with our own stuff to take a brand new look at Earth.

  1. My uncle had chickens that kept disappearing. He watched a raccoon come during the night and open the chicken coop, carry the chicken out, put it down, close the door, close the latch on the coop, pick up the chicken, and walk away on his hind legs with the chicken under his arm.

  2. Rascal: "Okay, what's the job and the payout betta be woyth it…I don't do heists for peanuts ya know…then again that depends, I'd need at least 1 crate – 3 tops…"

  3. I had a friend raccoon, not my pet,she had a bunch of kids.she used to come over every night and relax with me,her kids stayed outside, she used to come in my room and enjoy some treats.i was caring for a woman who was an animal lover,we had cat's dog's,and my friend the racoon , I was Care giving for the woman.her daughter was her guardian and she never came to visit until her mother was close to expiring, they supposedly never gotten along.while she was in my care a woman forced herself on the woman's estate who was the daughter of a local sheriff, the woman didn't want anything to do with her,the woman had a large property along with the main house, she had a guest house, this girl called the woman's daughter and asked to rent the guest house against the owners wishes, the woman I'm talking about, well that raccoon broke into this girls space, the guest house and tore up everything,to our delight,we didn't like her she had a junky boyfriend and was a tweaker, they were both unwanted and went behind our back to deal with her daughter.she gave money to the daughter but just imposed herself on us.tgat raccoon was so intelligent, she knew to just go over to that cop's daughter and wreck her . raccoon's are very intelligent, she knew we had no love for the meth head and acted accordingly

  4. The name pool for procedurally-generated raccoon names in Outside is really small – I'm fairly certain the only entries are "Rocky", "Rascal". I predict there might be a third entry, "Rocket"; still, three is way too small. I hope the devs add more names in the next update.

  5. I will report this video to the authorities regarding it is discrimination to call her Rascal and abusive towards non binary lgbtq raccoons for Shame on BBC
