  1. Jack Minassian – associate professor of "fire science" at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, says: "The water is a last resort to escape a fire. The better option is to evacuate early." Duh! I wonder if professors at the University of Hawaii are required to take an IQ test before their contract is renewed? Due to the high winds, the firestorm overwhelmed those poor people before they had time to evacuate – jumping into the ocean WAS their last resort. I sure wish professor Jack Minassian would jump into a large body of water.

  2. This is so sad. Saw the report from local billionaire, Christopher Greene of AMTV, and founder of the Island Project. He and his family are ok, along with all the Island Project properties.
Thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.

  3. Sure the Wind is at fault not the lack of planning and preparedness. Criminal Levels of Incompetence and complacency. You can see its a Grass fire and everyone just watched.

  4. Seems like more and more people across the globe are dealing with more frequent and more extreme natural disaster that are popping up all over the planet. Seems like no one or place is being spared, from these apocalyptic scenario's. That's why its even more important than ever for everyone to start thinking and planning ahead on the subject of "Emergency Preparedness Management." I was a Quartermaster Supply Sergeant dealing in Logistics for the Army for 13 years with 3 deployments under my belt. Then a few years later after getting out I went to college and during my first 5 semesters I conducted 4 major research papers on the subject of "Emergency Preparedness Management" working on 2 of them with the Red Cross and the other 2 papers with FEMA, who I also worked with on my third deployment to Liberia Africa during a humanitarian deployment helping out with the Ebola outbreak. So, you can say I know a lot about the subject of "Emergency Preparedness Management." I have a YouTube Channel under my Full-Name with the same profile picture as this post. My Channel currently has 32 videos covering 18 different category subject topics to share my personal knowledge and experiences in a variety of areas in order to help as many people as possible. I have videos on 5 Financial Literacy topic areas, Vehicle Basic Maintenance Care Services Advice to include how to buy a car for a dealership wisely so you don't get taken advantage of, Pacific Northwest & Colorado Tour Guide Advice video, How to Become a more Effective Multi-Task Problem-Solver, Scammer Warning Signs Advice video, 5 Years of Rideshare Driving Hints/Tips/& Tricks Advice, How to Become a Better Gift Giver to those closest to you using the 5 Love Languages, but my most popular and important videos are How to Build yourself a very High Quality 24-72 Hour Survival Bug Out Bags for Emergency Preparedness & Rarefactional Hiking and Camping Usage. But I also have other videos on Home & Vehicle Emergency Preparedness & Readiness Advice videos as well. When I conducted my research on these subjects back in 2018-2019, so of the statics data blew my mind on certain things such as for every $1 someone spends on Emergency Preparedness items or planning or both they will save themselves somewhere in the realm of $4-$16 in damages and recovery fees and they will recover 4-5 times faster compared to those who don't prepare at all. And now with inflation that $1 spent on Preparedness will probably go even further. Another major static was that over 60% of Americans don't prepare for any form of Natural Disaster even though over 80% of American counties get hit by one or more than one Natural Disaster per year and that definitely seems to have increased over the past several years. So what I'm saying is please start thinking, planning, researching, and become more prepared in your homes and vehicles, because you never know when Disaster will strike your area and you may have to abandon and leave everything you have behind. No one is exempt anymore. So please take a look at some of my videos on my YouTube Channel and I hope it helps you get more serious and prepared for the unexpected, it could save yours and your families life!

  6. I served in the Navy at the time of Mt. Piatubo's eruption in 1991. I participated in the evacuation of Manilla residents, and military dependants to the island of Cebu.
Prayers for my Hawiian families and friends.

  7. It’s obvious the Nightmarchers did this because there were too many haoles.
haol·e /ˈhoulē/ (in Hawaii) a person who is not a native Hawaiian, especially a white person. night marchers – in Hawaiian mythology, nightmarchers are the deadly ghosts of ancient tribal Hawaiian warriors. The nightmarchers are the vanguard for a sacred king.

  12. Democrats' loves the tax revenue coming from developers. Destroying historical buildings is the only way to get more land. "Natural disasters" is the only way to destroy these protected buildings. Question is….. which democrat is in charge of creating this "natural disaster"
